Don't believe everything you read... And don't believe anything you read on Consumer Reports. If you think they provide unbiased, balanced reporting, then I got a great deal on a bridge to sell you.

My screen is perfect... Amazing clarity. No color flaws.

My ipad3 gets warmer then my ipad3, but hasn't really gotten hot yet. Definitely cooler then ANY laptop that I have ever owned.

Wifi problems? Haven't heard that one yet, or had a problem. But the unlimited (grandfathered) 19 MB/sec LTE rates are pretty nice.

So are you here for the truth, or just to try to gloat?

Nice try. And no, I am not an Apple fan (except for the iPad)... My four computers running win7 rock, and I like win7 way better then Lion (wife's MBA).

not to mention the nasty fingerprints on the beautiful retina display and the fact that it weighs an unbearable 50 grams more than iPad2, and that it has kept the same form factor.

People want to feel like they are justified in either buying or not buying the new iPad. That's why it's best to just form your own opinions. If everything is working correctly most people aren't going to say anything about it but if the slightest thing goes wrong people are going to take to the message boards with a fury.

I'm upset that my iPad doesn't obey when I tell it to "sit" or "come here". :'(

If you've been on these forums for a while, you'll see this happens with every single Apple product launch. Only the minority who have any problems make themselves heard, the majority of people are perfectly happy with their new item.

I have absolutely no problems with my iPad. I haven't been on the forums long, so I was a little nervous when I saw all the complaints before my iPad came in the mail, but it's flawless.

It's a lot like restaurants. Only the customers with bad experiences are the ones who leave reviews, but it doesn't necessarily mean the restaurant itself is bad.

Having sold 3,000,000+ units, and considering the 50 complaints on this forum, I'd say the product is pretty solid.

and those who post on message boards are probably 0.001 % of all iPad owners. the others have a life - and maybe an iPad without heatwifitint problems...

Very true. I sure am enjoying the "mess" I got.

If it is a "fury" of people complaining I would say the latest release is in good shape considering the number currently purchased. It is sad though that a few may jump to conclusions based upon such a small number of detractors and thus miss out on a fine product.

What WiFi problem. One user can't login so it's a problem? What cell phone, laptop or tablet does not get warm when you use it for a few hours?

Don't forget Siri will upload your personal information to.

Upload, capture, store, profile...
They also like to share your personal information gathered for "product improvements"

Considering this forums captures about 1% or less of actual complaints, you can bet there are more than 50 defects.

Considering forums attract a lot of people with problems seeking help, you can bet that as a percentage the general population is experiencing far fewer problems than reported here.

Have you checked other apple forums or the actual apple forums?
Complaints reported here are small.
People don't just come here to make complaints or the Internet in general.
They go back to the retailer and get it replaced/fixed.

As a New Ipad owner, I can say;

Can anyone remember what the term for the OP might be...
It's like Hobbit, Orc, Leprechaun, Goblin, or something... it's right on the tip of my tongue...

BTW...My ipad works great!

They're worse.
They can obtain search preferences and personal details of your life.
I didn't know that Apple enacted the Patriot Act on Apple consumers.
