So I jailbroke an iPhone 3G running iOS 4.2.1 using redsn0w 0.9.10 b6. Everything was fine and dandy until it asked me what I wanted to do with the jailbroken phone. I selected "Install Cydia." It gave me error 233 and quit. DiskAid 4.51 recognizes the phone, but I don't see a root folder. So the phone's owners now have an iPhone with a useless jailbreak unless I can install Cydia.

Update: Running redsn0w 0.9.6 rc19 worked.
It seems that the first thing redsn0w does is modify the firmware. So the phone was still not jailbroken yesterday.

installing cydia from absinthe 2.0.4 jailbroken iphone 3gs

i have a powerpc mac and i can run absinthe 2.0.4 but i didn't jailbreak my iphone 3gs already.
i'd like to know how to install cydia on it ?
i also have a pc running windows 7 64bits.
on greenpois0n website they just say

but they don't say how to install cydia.
maybe cydia install is proposed during jailbreak process bvut i have no idea about that.
