fatal error while installing windows in paralells desktop 7

I am installing windows xp pro 32 bit through paralells desktop 7 on mac mini running mac os lion 10.7.4

the installation is hanging at the installing windows stage,

it reads;

"a fatal error has occurred that prevents setup from continuing,

one of the components windows needs to setup could not be installed

the system could not find the path specified

press ok to view log setup file"

when I try to press the ok button the mouse pointer just bounces off it & does not do anything.

what do I do now? can I try again? or have I lost this product key number?
