Help ASAP

Im in need of help soo badly.
I have an 20" intel aluminum imac (2007) i think.
it since has been sluggish etc so i decided to do a clean instal with a previous
version Lion to Snow Leopard
So i entered my Snow Leopard disk - Disk Uility- Erase disk
so i can do a clean instal, After reboot i get a boot screen with my disk spinning
and nothing happens.

Now i cant eject my disk (ive tried all the usual stuff to eject)
and have no os to use

Re-boot in verbose mode.

I'm pretty sure it's because it's booting from the disk which takes a long time lol.

Be patient.

Well it is something important as i have to get it ready for the morning.

i know its not booting from the disk as it has been idle for over 3 hours lol

i had forgot about Re-boot in verbose mode. But still no luck

anyone else want to try and help

Did you hold down the option key when you rebooted so it will run off the disk?

i have got into the disk utility part and it wont unmount or eject the disk
wtf is going on

So it booted into to the OS from the disk?

Could be:

1) Incorrect media version

2) Damaged or unreadable media

3) inoperable optical drive.

To force eject the disk:

Once ejected, try cleaning the media, inspect for any scratches etc, and check that the disk you are using is here correct version for your Mac...They are NOT all the same.

As I have said all the normal force eject stuff doesn't work.

If I'm to take it to my local apple store will they charge to fix it and how much

You tried all those steps in my previous post? See if anything here might help:

If this won't do it then you will have to take it in...Depends on just how much they have to do as to what they will charge....But you can at least ask.
