[iPad Mini] iPad Mini - UK Pre Order

Had a quick look on here for any info but i may have missed it. Does anyone know what time Uk Pre orders are likely to start on Friday??

Sorry, no clue .. also though I'm not sure if the pre-order is for the cellular versions as well as the wi-fi? .. I'm going to assume it is?!
For the iPhone 5 pre-order started at 8am (UK time)

thanks Loopy65, it will be for wifi and cellular i think but in the keynote it said wifi going out first on 2nd with cellular options 1-2 weeks later but it US first and then other countries

Well as you know, it's the 26th. As for the precise time, won't it be the time Apple HQ opens for business? I'm guessing that's about 4pm for us in the UK.

As Loopy65 said, it was 8am for the iPhone 5 so that's where I'm putting my money.

yes hearing it will be 8am here as that 12am PST but im sure the ipad 1 when first released was a midnight / 1 am pre order

My guess would obviously be about 8am, but nearly three hours of downtime seems a bit excessive.

Which iPad Mini are you guys thinking of getting?

I'm thinking base Wifi only mini. Always have my iPhone with hotspot, so don't really need 3G. (Don't really need an iPad mini really tbh lol)

Wondering if it's worth picking up the smart cover straight away? Wouldn't want an accessory slowing down the order.

yep that was my thought but other posts have said they'll ship them as they become available but won't risk it and order separately.

What combo's are you guys going for?

I suppose if you get in early enough the stock should be o.k. (hopefully)

Plus if its a combined order the shipping will be free, chances are if it's a big seller the retail stores aren't going to have surplus stock

Late important question - will the iPhone app refresh automatically or is it best to close it and reopen?

Speaking from experience, accessories have always slowed down pre-orders for myself

Not sure on cases, i bought 2 smartcovers, 2 flip cases, 3 backs for my ipad 3....

i may just wait it out and see what its like when the mini arrives.

I want the 32GB 4G model (i use my ipad for work emails so rather that than the blackberry) even though its a bit pricey.

not sure when the 4G models will actually arrive over here, its a couple of weeks in the US and then "later" in other countries i've read :-(

Ordered on iPhone app at 8.02, very quick and easy but delivery in 2 weeks, hoping still for next Friday but of not never mind lol

Mine says 2-3 weeks but I think that's because I ordered the digital av adapter as well. Hope they split the order.

Screw it, order changed to black. 2nd November delivery. don't know why Apple would have problems with white ones 2 mins after the store opened!

White was showing as 2 weeks at 8:00 when the site came up. Presume there wasn't any white stock at all.

Ended up ordering black for delivery on the 2nd.

Doesn't look like it, in the other thread people are getting the dates in order status now between 15th and 20th.
