Hi guys,

recently tried GeekTool and find it pretty cool. looking for a script that will show a week number count starting from a specific date (for example dec 1st, 2012) with the week number going up every 7 days. any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I imagine you should be able to google this answer. You just need to find out the terminal command to give you the number of the day of this year and divide that by 7.

I have been looking all over the internet in that past few days. the closest thing I found was a countdown command to a specific date but I'm not familiar enough with the code to tweak it for what I want

Found it:

took the yearly week count (date +%V) and subtracted the number of weeks to start from my desired date.
