Hey,

So every time I right click on a file and select 'Open With' I get duplicate applications showing up.

How do I get rid of them?

Rebuild the launch services database. Enter the following in Terminal, followed by pressing enter:

Code:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

You may need to relaunch Finder by pressing Option while you right-click the Finder icon on the Dock, then selecting "Relaunch".

Just to add to this: it does seem to be a bug in Mountain Lion that updates to apps can be seen as "new" apps and create duplicates in LaunchServices database.

Regrettably, there is no fix, other than rebuilding the LS database, but I think that pinpointing the cause of duplication to updates might be useful.
