Replace iPod touch battery?
So I was on eBay and I found this item:
It's a battery replacement for the iPod touch 3rd gen and mine doesn't hold a long charge anymore.
I also found this really detailed guide here:
I can replace the battery, but my question is, has anyone done that before? Did the new battery worked and improved your iPod? Is it worth it?

There are a lot of stories online of these cheap batteries exploding or catching fire while being charged. I wouldn't attempt it myself.
You can get a new battery installed by Apple for $79 plus $6.95 shipping. That's the way I would go.
Your one-year warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. You can extend your coverage to two years from the date of your iPod purchase with the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPod. During the planís coverage period, Apple will replace the battery if it drops below 50% of its original capacity. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers a battery replacement for $49 (iPod shuffle), $59 (iPod nano and classic), $79 (iPod touch) plus $6.95 shipping, subject to local tax. Apple disposes of your battery in an environmentally friendly manner.

I saw I whole bunch of guides, videos, and reviews of people who have done, and my conclusion is that if you know how to do it, then it shouldn't have a problem
