I ran our of room on my 1TB Time Machine drive (My Book, firewire 800) and bought a 3TB drive (LaCie, firewire 800). Followed apple directions for transfer of old backup folder to new drive.
My problem is that at 85 GB into the transfer, roughly 1/10th of the way, the copy process freezes. Freezes at the exact same point (85.52 GB I believe). I am able to access each drive, copy other files to each drive, so each drive is "awake" and active, just not going forward with the remaining 800 GB of copy process for the backup folder.
Any suggestions as to what is happening and how to solve?
