Samsung HMX-H200/iMovie 11 import prob
I have a Samsung HMX-H200 and I have been trying to resolve this issue since Xmas
. When I import video from camcorder via USB or directly from the SDMC the import takes 10+ hours for about 3 hrs of 1080i HD video. Then when it is all done the video is jittery!! What gives? I have a 27 in 2011 iMac w/ 2.7 i5 and 16 GB of RAM. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thx

I don't know what the file size of your 1080/50i clip is but as iMovie imports it, it will be converting it to the Apple Intermediate Codec format(AIC) which, for 1080/60i converts at around 50Gb per hour of video. So, your 3hr video could end up at around 150Gb.
I've not used AVCHD video yet, but 10 hours seems a bit excessive.

Yes it would play up. You need that size file to be downloaded unto a external hard drive.

Firstly check if your camcorder is compatible with your system. To load 3 hours of video file on your computer and then expect it to play is asking a lot.
I always say and video work should go on an external drive.
