2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray unveiled

It's stunning, IMHO.... At least 450 HP and 450 lb.-ft of torque from the 5th gen Small Block V8, 7 speed manual, 26 MPG+ on the highway, 99 lb. lighter than the outgoing model, etc.

Chevrolet nailed it right on the head with this one. Its absolutly stunning, from the front to the back I have nothing negitive to say about it. Its also nice to see the "Sting Ray" name back.

Its ugly, over designed with far to many angles and lines. Also it only gets 450bhp from 6.2L...

$51,995. Not that big of a jump from the C6( 2013 C6 costs $49,600).

Hate it. Too many lines, not enough curves.

Don't like.

The back looks like the camaro.
Too many edges.
Needs less lines, it needs to flow- this doesn't.

I think it's amazing. Brings back memories of my '79. And yes, there are a lot of lines on it, but they all have really sexy ways of curving and dipping. I want one.

Yep- and I'm sorry, it's not a Stingray without covered headlights. It's just not.

I believe flip up headlights are illegal now hence why they have died off in use. Not to mention how ugly it looks when they are up and if one malfunctioned and didn't flip up and the other did....

I'm personally glad GM stepped away from some Corvette design "traditions". The car still looks like a 'Vette, but it's so much better now.

Not illegal, simply not being used at the moment.

I don't think it does resemble a Vette anymore. A vette should be timeless the way most think of them. Stepping away from the "traditions" has made it look like the engineering teams are sharing designs.

Only car I can say that is timeless and never looses it's origin is the porsche. I am not a fan of Porsche, but you can look at one today, and 20 years ago from 100 yards away and call it.

This, you can't.
My father was a huge lover of the Corvette- he had a few in his day, but his favorite was the 79' I think. Don't know what he would think of them today tbh.

4 gates in the shifter could be tricky. Plus, "R" should really be on it's on gate. I could see accidentally shifting from 7th to Reverse. Ouch.

I saw that too.
I drive a six speed manual, but reverse is over and up left.
I have never seen it down right like that.

Never really liked Corvettes (or GM cars in general) but it looks pretty cool on the front and side. Definitely don't like the back though. Reminds me of the metal thing from Thor that spat fire... but really, it doesn't really have those iconic Corvette taillights which I think they should've kept.

There are dozens of RX-7, 5 series, 3 series running around with LS engines where I live. I wonder why lol. I'm gonna go ahead and say it. OHV pushrods are better than OHC engines.

Its a supercharged 5L not 5.8..... Where did you get 5.8L from?

I'll raise you the titanium 7.0 LS7...

I'm a big fan of the 5.0 myself... But to say its better than the LS3... Come on

It's really a drivers race on the quarter mile. 5.0s nice that they are. Are not all that mod friendly. I believe that #9 piston likes to snap once in a while lol

And that motor in the Mustang does not destroy the Camaro, excuse my questions as im from Australia, we don't have either car here.??
Not impressed... Chrysler's 6.4 Hemi makes 475 Hp and torque.. And it's underrated
