The same can also be said about Pirates of Silicon Valley - there are a lot of inaccuracies in that too.

Forget about this movie... I wish they would release the audiobook version of Fire In The Valley. I bought the reissue back in the late 1990s/early 2000s when they added some content to it. Great book. That is the gold standard when it comes to books about how the PC was born.

Me too, but apparently it wasn't all that accurate sometimes.

Nice little pitch for your book at the end, Woz.
But what a humble and benevolent ass guy. Woz is a true spirit.

People need to realize that a movie like this is a representation of what happened and NOT actually what happened. Throw in creative license for entertainment purposes and you have a movie that will probably be pretty good.
Woz needs to get that through his head before he starts shooting his mouth off. |

It's a freaking movie. Only idiots don't expect some poetic license.
Woz is irrelevant and only opens his mouth so he can try and be relevant again. What has he done lately, other than stand on line for new phones being released? |

back off
Please, Chris, Woz shouldn't speak up when his own life is being inaccurately portrayed? Come on! Put yourself in his shoes. And it's not like he's filing a lawsuit or anything. He's just telling us how it went down. I thought he was a good sport about it, and I'm glad to know the the truth from a first hand source. Let the guy speak freely about his own life.

Sure, artistic licenses will be made with movies, but if it's a movie based on someone's life (and you're marketing it as a movie on someone's life), you can only go so far. Things like who's idea was it or if someone's a social extravert versus being a loner should stay the same.
What's interesting is that people bash Ashton Kutcher for what seems to be him trying his best to be Steve Jobs and probably only missing a few points here and there, yet they are fine when Woz says that the scene is largely being portrayed incorrectly, brushing it off as "it's a movie"? |

Pirates of Silicon Valley is still the best "impression" of Steve Jobs to date. Also, in general, is more historically faithful to the people involved.
The real Steve even had the actor, Noah, portray him at an Apple event as a joke; so impressed he was. |

All you folks, criticizing Woz and saying how boring the movie would be if they make it accurate, must take a look at Pirates of Silicon Valley!!!
If the short clip is an indication of whats to come, than its gonna be very painful to watch... Its not a secret that Steve Jobs wasn't a saint in the beginning of his career, but much rather a brilliant entrepreneur who had balls!Woz is totally right in saying "the lofty talk came much further down the line", when Steve started to mature as a person and also as a business-men...

most times when a movie like this is being made , the writer will take several events in the persons life and rap it into one scene or rap a few people into one character or the movie would be 30 yrs long

From what I hear Dark Zero Thirty is exaggerated/changed a bit and so was The Social Network... Both of those were friggin' amazing nevertheless so I am hoping for something similar...
