My ipad 2 has become very annoying to use because the home button doesn't work reliably.
Most of the time when I press it, it fails to respond. I have to keep pressing it repeatedly until it finally responds, and this is happening all of the time now.
Is this a repairable fault, or would apple tend to replace the ipad rather than bother to deal with such a problem?
Thanks for any advice.

Apple will replace the entire iPad, not just the Home button. If you don't have AppleCare, you'll probably have to pay the out of warranty exchange.
