Is my iphone status bar meant to be that big?

What I'm asking is, my black status bar, high above is fat, and is it meant to be that big? lol
not really an issue, but I was wondering cause no one else has it that fat.

The black border on your background photo is adding to it

It is fatter than normal. Just edit the picture and voila!

All fixed! all I had to do was reposition the photo!

The important question is, does the fat status bar effect your left speaker?

Looks to me like your wallpaper possibly has a black border at the top causing it to appear bigger, does it do it in every app?
