Apple Launches 128 GB iPad with 1-3 Day Shipping
![]() Following last week's announcement, Apple today began offering the 128 GB iPad in the Apple online store with shipping currently listed at 1-3 business days for most models in most countries. Wi-Fi + Cellular models in the United States are currently being quoted 3-5 business days for shipping across all three carriers. ![]() After supply constraints dogged both the new iMac and iPad mini, analysts will be watching closely to see how Apple manages supply times for the latest addition to the company's product line. Stock levels have, however, generally been good on the full-size iPad, which has reportedly seen a significant drop in demand as consumer interest has shifted to the iPad mini. Is the new model supporting the S Pen?

Doubtful.
At that price I think I'd rather buy a MB Air.

I'm just not biting this time...I've become accustomed to managing my 64GB iPad 4, and I'm NOT forking out for a brand new ipad just months after the new one. I'd rather save the money and buy a refreshed rMBP 15" to replace the 17" cMBP I just sold. But, I suspect they will sell in droves.

I agree 100%. I have an 11" Air and an iPad both and when I travel for business (i.e. light) I just take my Air with me because for weighing almost the same, Air is a full fledged computer, running MS Office, being able to print to ANY printer and be able to true multitask with simultaneous windows open side by side, while the iPad is an enlarged iPhone with limited capabilities.

That should be very easy. I sold mine right after the 3 came out for $450(of course that included a smart cover, dock, camera connection kit, HDMI adapter), but I thought it was a good deal.

They just need to make the 32GB the base 16 is not worth anything though, not enough space after the OS and standard apps, leaves you with 13.5 which is cheesy...

Wow a 128 gb for $799 (interesting, the prices are listed in CND). I really hope that flash technology drop in price real soon
Edit again: its both 799 Canadian and American. |

Though non-128GB iPads are all "in stock", they list the 128GB AT&T version as "1-3 days" (and not just "in stock"), and VZW and Sprint are 3-5 days, right out the gate. Maybe they aren't fully stocked yet?

I think the chances of the iPad 5 starting with 32gb is slim. With cloud services now, the reliance to keep everything on your iPad locally has gone down. There will always be users that want everything to be is there which is fair especially when you consider the cost of data plans. However, most people are okay with 16gb. I personally will continue to get the 64gb model.
Heck, if I was Apple, I would keep four storage sizes for the next year or two before considering coming back to three sizes. Why? More cash!!!

They won't drop the 16gb. 16gb was dropped on the iPod Touch but look at its price. It went up in price, didn't stay the same.

Apple lost the memo in their maps department. When they find it they'll start passing component savings costs onto the faithful...or not. Massive margins...$700/share...nevermind.

Had this come out when the iPad 4 came out I probably would have ordered the bigger capacity one.
Too late. I'm sure it will sell in the enterprise arena . |

It already has for everyone but Apple. The 16GB model should be dropped, the prices dropped $100 for the remaining existing models, and the 128GB priced the same as yesterday's 64GB.
Apples SSD pricing in the iMac and MacBook products is highway robbery too. |

Will wait for 100 dollar price cut on iPad 5 this holiday season 2013.
Why Apple? Why push a new high price instead of cutting current prices or just sitting on it till a model update? |
