EDIT: It may be because I changed my mac username. Just a note....

This is all after I did an SSD install (no data, just OS X 10.8.2 was installed on the SSD).

I followed the "External Drive" steps here.

After i opened itunes, I clickded to scan for music. A lot of music showed up, but a LOT was missing, as well as all the playlists (where every single song is organized).

I checked the files and songs that were not on itunes were int he itunes folder that was copied among songs that were in there already.

All my music was consolidated in the itunes folder on my old hard drive, so it was all in that folder.

After reinstaling iTunes, I tried choosing a library per these instructions. Still no playlists or complete song list.

What should I do? The data is there, all I want is basically an exact copy of my itunes from my old hard drive.

Thanks!
