Ok so now it's all but confirmed that iOS 7 will be announced next week. In the past, generally how much time has there been between new iOS announcement and it's public release?
Fall is bit late, but it is reasonable, since it is going to be something Apple never done with iOS, so there are going to be hundreds of bugs and it will take time to get everything right and ready for the masses.
But I guess I'll have to use beta versions for the first time.
If i had to guess: two months from now.
That would be an extremely quick beta process for developers to get their apps working. If they did that, iOS 7 would launch with very little app support.
I'd say 3 months tops. That's a beta release every 2 weeks. People have to be fast in these times. It's not like they're going to make iOS 7 completely backwards INcompatible! I mean, iOS 3.0-built apps still run on iOS 6, y'know?
I say we look back at history:

Yes, but as someone mentioned eariler there may and will be lots of bugs considering they changed many things. <
Just use your common sense and read articles where Cook said that they made some changes. They did? What did they change? You can't have seen it already and not tell us everything.
