I'm screwed right?

I can't believe I can't think of it. About 3 months back I put all these important files in a sparseimage in case anyone ever got ahold of my computer.

Now I'm accidentally protecting them from my own eyes.

*****!!!!

Any way around these things? I can't imagine so.

I find that I can remember things like that better if I give up and worry about other stuff. The stress drops and the brain coughs up its secrets :)

You might not be entirely out of luck.

There is a program called MacKrack that might be able to brute force the password assuming you have a decent Mac and some idea of the length and strength of the password.

Good luck, and next time write it down somewhere.

Yea I keep trying to trick my brain into not thinking about it anymore so maybe it'll pop up... but its smarter than that and knows I'm trying to not think about it.

Stupid brain.

Just try to relax and live your daily life and don't stress over the password. Maybe it'll come to you when you least expect. It has worked for me.

You might also try looking into hypnosis.
