Block itunes from internet
how do i block itunes from internet so i can restore when i want to in case it autmatically updates or whatever

edit your host file (google it). I'm not sure if itunes connects to apple.com tho, does anyone know the web address we should block? I blocked apple.com just in case.

say i have an ipod with 1.1.1 on it, then i go to the store to have it replaced, then when i go to my computer itunes prompts me for a software update download can i choose not to download it, but to install 1.1.1?

iTunes>Preferences> Then turn off "Check for updates automatically". I don't know why you all are doing this the hard way.
