Software for custom HDTV res??

Anyone know of a program that will allow me to tweek my dvi output to fit my HDTV? I can set it up, but i loose a bunch of pixels on all sides, and then a lot more on the bottom. I just need to adjust the location and zoom of the picture on my rear proj 1080i sony tv over a DVI to HDMI cable.
