External Disk Wont Mount

Hello,

I have a problem one of the girls turned the mac off at the wall and ever since one of my volumes on my external disk won't mount.

It has all my photos on it.

Does anyone know how i can mount it or repair it or something.

I've had this problem myself and it will mount, but it takes a while. Disconnect the drive, shut down the Mac then bring it back up, then connect the drive and wait. It eventually mounted for me.

Even still, do what vanmacguy said. This happened to me this morning oddly enough and I did what he suggested (before you originally posted) and it worked so I'd take his word for it.
