Best Solution for VHS tapes to digital files

So I have a bunch of VHS tapes with stuff I would like to put on youtube/DVD/ etc

Whats the cheapest/simplest solution ?

Is there a wire that can go from av out ( on the back of my VCR ) to firewire into my mac ? Im working with a 17 inch imac flat panel.

OR do i hook the VCR you to a DV cam, and then go into my mac ? IF so what type of connection would I use ?

any help woudl be GREAT !

You're going to need to pick up an analog to digital converter box. I've seen cheaper ones go for about $70 but expect to pay $150 for a good one.
