I have two first generation ipod shuffles.
One is a 512 MB which works very well with USB-based earphones (they fit onto the USB port and reduce the cords you have to deal with).
Before they become totally extinct, I recently purchased another (a 1G refurbished first generation ipod shuffle) as a back-up, however the USB-based earphones don't work. After returning it and getting another - same problem.
Any insight or suggestions on what the deal is and how to remedy the situation?
