Hi -
How do I find out how much memory is LEFT on my imac tiger.
Is there a breakdown of the programs and what they are using currently?

I would appreciate a step by step to find this.

Applications>Activity Monitor.

Or you can install iStat or MenuMeters to have a constant display of free and used memory at all times.

Are you refering to RAM or hard drive space?

If its RAM then the method mentioned by TEG

If its HDD space, select your drive on the desktop and press CMD+I
