I eat turkey bacon, and I've tried some soy varieties before.

I won't eat the real stuff though. It's mostly fat, and I'm not that into it.

I couldn't agree more! Even as a young kid with no sense of proper nutrition, I hated the real stuff and would opt for a turkey alternative. I'm really not a picky eater but I have a hard time stomaching stuff with an over-abundance of fat and grease

bacon is amazing.

last year, we bought a cheap charcoal grill and grilled out on the stoop of our dorm, and i would make bacon cheese burgers by cooking the bacon on a piece of tin foil...they were soooooo good.

Bacon probably isn't going to show up in the food pyramid anytime soon, and it's not part of my (fairly heathy) diet, but I sure do love to smell it. If somebody else orders bacon in a restaurant and I pass it to them, I move the plate verrrrrry slowly past my nose!

And it's not the worst thing you could eat. A single Entenmann’s chocolate donut has the same saturated and trans fat as nine strips of bacon! So skip the donut, have eight strips of bacon, and boast how diet conscious you are!

Bacon is nasty. Nothing but strips of fat being fried up in its own fatty grease. Why not just have a granola bar for breakfast instead?

I just love this thread. Makes me think of... mmmmmmm, Bacon. But not to sure if I'd try Bacon: The Ice Cream. I guess I just prefer cow's on the ice cream container, though I feel like a pig after eating it! So how about you guys? One Scoop or two?

The wife has been making these little bacon egg cups, so simple, easy to make a large batch (if you’re serving a big group), deliciously simple. You can also dress them up with your choice of seasonings, spice, cheese

A 5 or 6 years ago 2 friends and I went camping for a week in Brown County State Park (southern Indiana). Long story short in 5 days we ate, among other things, 3 or 4 pounds of bacon. I think it was a few years before I even thought about eating bacon again.

I haven't read any of this thread, with the exception of the first post.

That said, I could eat nothing but bacon for the rest of my life, and be completely satisfied.

I mean, yeah my life expectancy would be drastically shortened, and I'd gain so much weight that no girl would ever want to sleep with me, so my life would pretty much suck, but it would be worth it.

Yeah, it's that good.

You would actually probably lose weight. How much bacon can one consume? If all you had to eat was bacon, you would probably get sick of it quickly and not eat nearly as much, only eating when you were really hungry. I can't imagine eating 2000 calories of bacon evey day. (that would be at least three slices. ) I agree, though, your life expectancy would be rather short.
