I charged my iPod Touch 1st-gen 16GB up to 100% last night because I needed the alarm function to wake me up this morning.

I wake up this morning two hours late for school because the iPod somehow managed to drain to absolute zero overnight (did not even turn on this morning).

This has been happening for the last week or so, but it usually holds out for 24 hours or so in idle mode.

The same thing happened to me back in July, so I sent it in and got a refurb. Now the problem has come back.

So my question is: Since this has already happened to me, do you think I have a chance of scoring a refurbed 2nd-gen Touch?

Thanks

Doubt it. While they still have 1st gens in stock why would they give you a 2g?? I have to wonder what you are doing to screw up your battery since you've had two of them mess up the same way.

Are you running something when you put it to sleep?

Also, turn off location services, that things a real drainer.
