The apple keyboard and mouse have stopped working altogether on my powerbook. They were working just minutes ago. Restart did nothing. Ideas?

Both USB slots are working.

Ok, they work now, but the keyboard's specific function keys are not working. The keyboard is performing as a regular keyboard.

bump...this is not working, still. I've restarted the computer many times -- still not recognizing the keyboard's specific functions. I tried manually downloading the software for the keyboard and when I tried installing it, the system informed me that a version of that software already existed on my computer.

Question is, is there a way I can delete that, and then re-install the dmg?
