Getting rid of Google search suggestions in Safari

I like Safari 4, but I don't like the Google search suggestions — at all. They are almost never what I want.

Does anyone know how to turn this feature off? It could be done via the terminal in beta, but that is no longer true.

I would even settle for removing the search field entirely — I use Saft, so I often simply search from the address bar via keywords.
