My sister has provided me with copies of DVD of a family funeral, she's burned to DVD+R.

I can play them on a commercial (LG) DVD player but not on my iMac.

I've tried ripping (MacTheRipper) and re burning to DVD-R but this has not resolved the problem. I've experienced in the past, burned DVD that will play on the Mac/PC but not on a commercial player, but before this event, not the reverse.

Any suggestions please?

Opening DVD +R on a Mac

Thanks VLC worked great! My DVD+R recording had two folders with a combined 11 files in it. Opening a file called VTS_01_1.VOB opened the video.
