Hey all,

I bought my sister an iPod Touch for xmas a few years back, and the glass is broken. I went to ifixit to see what I need to do, but I can't tell which generation iPod Touch I got her! If memory serves correctly, I bought it 2, maybe even 3 years ago? It's an 8gb model. I searched mroogle and apple and nothing!

How can I tell which generation iPod Touch I have? Thanks!

Does it a have a volume rocker on the left side of the device (while looking at the screen)? If not, then it is a 1st generation.

I already put the serial number in Apple's website, but it doesn't give me the generation. I'll make sure to post a pic tomorrow. Thanks!
