hello,
this is my first time posting something on this forum, so please bare with me. i looked everywhere online before posting this message to try to find the answer to fix my problem.
my problem is when i start my mac what it does is the sleep light continuously blinks and it stays on the black screen. i tried what apple online site said to, clean out the ram, try to rest the ram, test the ram one at a time. everything i do does not seem to work. i would get a mac genius to look at it, but i have no money.
please help me,
thank you
Joe toro

after posting this, i still had to find a way to fix my mac, i found out it was the RAM, hahah.
you have yo push it in really hard till it makes a click sound.
i got this from a another post here at macrumors
1. Get rid of the PSU.
2. Get rid of the battery.
3. Do the >10 second thing on the Power Button with everything off.
4. Take all the RAM out. (This was what made the difference IMO).
5. Do the >10 second thing with the Power Button again.
6. Have a cup of coffee.
7. Do the >10 second thing with the Power Button again.
(I have to wonder if whatever that does takes a lot longer to drain / clear the PMU than Apple thinks.)
8. Stick the RAM back in.
9. Stick the battery in.
10. Connect the power.

hope that helps someone, like it did with me
