Display Audio - USB - Snow Leopard

For some reason my Mac Pro will not keep the Display Audio - USB setting in sound preferences.

Each time I boot the machine (coming from bootcamp), I need to reselect the Display Audio (Type: USB).

Is there a way to make this default?
