Ok I know we have only just left the store with an iPad!

Now iPhone anyone? Suppose it depends on o2 plans.
I'm on the Simplicity plan so may have to buy outright.

Currently with Orange and waiting for Three to announce their tariffs to be honest.

Are you heading down early for when they open? I have to be in work for 9am definitely so I'm going to be going queuing nice and early to make sure I'm (hopefully) done by 9am!

I'll be there as well with a friend. All the way from Holland to be exact (no release date has been announced here yet (not even for the iPad!), and flying is way too cheap these days ). Does anyone have any tips on how to spend the night in Liverpool? We haven't booked a hotel since we arrive late at night on Wednesday and will be queueing up nice and early. But that does leave us with about 6 hours to fill in the middle of the night...

Travel Lodge or Premier Inn! Generally the best bet for the city centre! Cheap too.

Thanks! But I was wondering whether there is anything else to do without having to book a hotel room. Any pubs, restaurants or anything else open all night near the Apple Store?

Well I don't know Liverpool that well, I live in wrexham which is about half an hour away. I'm sure there will be somewhere though, it's a decent sized city. Most places shut around 4am though, if they have late opening hours.

Any idea if they will have iPhones available to people who haven't reserved? I'm thinking of queuing VERY early, around midnight!

I'm from St Helens, and the earliest train arrives just before 7AM, which is too late I'd say for a phone this popular!

Theres quite a few bars open till 2-3am in the city centre and Circus casino is open till 6am. All within walking distance of the Apple store.

Also theres Palm Sugar which is in the Liverpool One complex itself but im not sure what time they close.

I'm going to the LiverpoolONE store and haven't reserved. There is always stock aside for non reservers as far as I'm aware. I'm probably gonna queue from between about 4-6am. Fingers crossed ;/

Wow Midnight! now that is early!

I just asked in store and they said they would have walk-ins available but could not say how many.

Still not made up my mind to get one yet... it's painful as I work about 2 minutes away and pass the store every day at least a few times. Went into o2 as well in Liverpool ONE and they said all o2 customers welcome for the first batch.

Mind you he said the opened at 9.30am... playing dumb at the moment I guess.

So what time are people queuing from. The more I stress the earlier I am willing to wait, and the longer I am willing to wait, the more bloody irritating I can see it being if I don't get one. Damn I wish I'd reserved!

I'm not sure yet. I'm planning to arrive around 11pm at the Apple Store to see where it is exactly and whether there's already a queue. Then I'll probably go to a pub/bar/restaurant or other place where I can spend a few hours in relative comfort and at closing time I'll join the queue. I do have a reservation, but it'd be nice to be somewhere at the front of the queue and have some time to see a bit of Liverpool after leaving the Apple store before having to catch the plane back.

Not sure myself; I'm extremely busy in work this week so need to be at my desk at the standard 9am! So I need to be in a decent position in the que. I was thinking around 5am (McDonalds starts breakfasts at that time!) but then I've thought if that would be too early!

Either way, I'll be showered, suited and booted, and ready to get my iPhone 4 at stupid o'clock!


As for places to go for our foreign friend, head to places like O'Niells (Irish pub), Korova, The Noble House. All open until say 3am-4am, then maybe just head to McDonalds (which is right near the Apple Store) for breakfast until your ready to hit the que?

Good luck! Iv'e decided to wait and get one after release. They sold out of iPads in the first couple of days and had some back in the following week so might pick one up then, no rush except my wife wants my old 3G!. But I will be there for opening time to see you guys and take some pics and video, so check my Flickr later on for a video. (iPad video already up)

Does anyone who's spoken to the store recently know whether they will have iPhone 4 docks and other accessories, available on launch day?

I'm getting my phone delivered from Apple but I was thinking of going down to the Apple store after work and seeing if they've got a dock and maybe a bumper.
