Hey,

I looked for another thread but couldn't find it. New here.

I'm considering my first Mac and I have a question. If I were to get an iMac and a standard Macbook and wanted to have Microsoft office on both, would ordering one with office pre-installed allow me to install office onto the other, or would I have to get both pre-installed with it? Would it be a better idea to buy a copy of office separately? Thanks.

When I look at the online store, the option to buy Microsoft Office is above the area where it lists software that they can pre-install.

My guess is that if you choose Office, they'll simply ship you the retail box, vs. actually preinstalling it for you.

In that case, you're good. It's amazingly simple to install yourself, and you'd have the disc to do with whatever...

That makes sense. Looks like I'm getting a little overwhelmed in the computer search. Thanks!
