URGENT! powersuply G5

Hello,

I have a PowerMac G5 with the first motherboard that is out of order, and another PowerMac G5 Late 2005
with 2x2.0GHZ

Mounting the powersupply from the 2004 on the 2005 is the powersuply compatible or not?

EDIT: I looked on Mactracker and compared the two:
Max Watts in the first is 604W and 450W on the late 2005.
I want to put a powersuply from a G5 2004 (604W ) on a G5 2005 that had a 450W powersuply is this possible ?
'm not an expert so if someone could help me ..

As long as they match up you should be fine. It won't force extra wattage into the computer, the computer will just draw what it needs.

You might see your electric bill go up, though.

No, you can't put PSU from any previous model into Late 2005.
Connectors and pinouts are different.

See differences.

Besides, Late 2005 uses 710W PSU (2.0 & 2.3) or 1kW PSU (Quad).

If you're not sure which models you exactly have, type serial number here.

I have 2 working pre '05 G5 PSU's if you need one. One is a 450w and the other is a 600w.

The power supplies between the late '05 and the early '05 and older are not interchangeable.
