i'm thinking of getting a MacBook Air 11" and I was thinking it would be cool if I could make the color of the lid black. Not the apple logo (I want that white), but the lid itself.

I was thinking of putting masking tape over the logo then painting the rest, but how would I do that and get it even? I don't think spray paint would be best and other things would make streaks.

Help?

Thanks,
Max

This website might be of some help to you then. http://www.colorwarepc.com/
but if you don't want to pay for it then the best way to paint any laptop would be to completely disassemble it and separate the electronics from the shell and paint the shell with spray paint. The easiest way is what you stated but it wouldn't turn out to well.

If you are going to spend the money for the MBA...

you certainly don't want to put a cheesy, amateurish paint job on it.

Try out a gelaskin ( http://www.gelaskins.com/ ) or similar applied skin. You can even design the skin to be a solid black if you want -- read the instructions on uploading. I had a gelaskin on my first gen MBA and it was durable and attractive.

Then, if you don't like your choice, you can peel it off.
