Yeah i've got limewire on my mac. It doesn't mess anything up as long as you know what you're doing with it . i.e. use your head when downloading songs, if the file size is under a meg, you know it probably isn't the song. Although that only applied under windows because of the viruses, so I should think you'd be alright. I'm using it without any problems anyway.

DO NOT GET LIMEWIRE. It will mess up your computer eventually. Acquisition is better for the safety of your computer.

If you get aquisition, you are just paying for limewire. I have never had any issues with limewire on my ibook.

I just started using Frostwire. Same thing just on a non-US based Server.

i used to use limewire and i never had any problems on my powerbook. frostwire is good, too.
the only reason i don't use those anymore is cause i can get anything on oink and it's much faster/easier to grab whole albums... and yes, i am a pirate. i suck. |

I bought Acquisition when I first got my iMac, best file sharing app out there on any platform imo.

I like Acquisition because it transfers the files directly to iTunes. (no that its all that hard) so far no problems.

I use FrostWire. Same basic thing, with less viruses and most importantly, it just looks cooler

Ok here's the word from the top. Limewire IS fine if you know what you're doing. Check out here to make sure you set it up correctly, that's the biggest part out of the way.
Limewire is just the same as everything else mentioned here. With a little common sense and good advice you'll be fine. |

Please check what limewire is and you will see it runs on Java based platform which essentially means anything including mac, windows, etc.
Not only that but it is a limewire free download officially. |

First off, Frostwire is great...I remember using that back years ago after I realized I hated Limewire but before I figured out how to use the internet properly...
Also, Didn''t I read something a while back about Limewire finally getting the last nail in their coffin? EDIT: http://www.businessinsider.com/limew...ection-2010-10 |
