I'm sure this has been asked here 1,000 times but I can't find a definite answer here or through Google.

I want an iPhone 4 on Verizon. Should I get the 16GB or 32GB phone? I'm most interested in how many minutes of video a typical phone will hold.

Anyone have any statistics?

You didnt find the answer because there is no definite answer.

How much other crap are you going to put in the iPhone?

How about- "how many gb's does a 5 minute video use?"

From my real world use, a 30 minute video shot with the iPhone 4's native camera resolution takes about 2.2 gigabytes. It is also a big battery drain and the default camera app sucks because it doesn't allow you to set any other resolution.

Thanks for the feedback.

I never thought about that. Theoretically, if I am reading this right, if I had a 32GB phone the battery could die before I could fill up the memory with video!

Get the 32 GB if you are planning to take videos! The videos are huge and you will fill up 16 GB easily. I ran out of space the first week with the 16 GB in June and have been constantly having to save videos to my computer to free space since then. I almost returned it, but decided to use it as an excuse to upgrade this year.

The video is 10mbit/s and audio 32kb/s, equal to 1.28mb/s

77MB / Minute
385MB for 5 minutes

That's 1GB of space for 13 minutes of video.

If you have an iPhone 4 32 GB then you can save 100 minutes of videos in your iPhone .To increase the number of videos or minutes of videos you need to purchase an iPhone 4 with 64 GB.

no, not even close.

If 13 minutes is 1GB, then 13minutes*30GB = 390 minutes / 6.5 hours.

I'd be interested to know where you got your 64GB iPhone.
