iPhoto events not adding? But shows under Photos...

For some reason, since upgrading to iLife 2011 ...
Whenever a new Event is created in iPhoto it doesn't create in the "Events" section. Only in Photos.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? 😕
My latest "event" is October 2, but in Photos, the latest group in there is from today.

weird... can I delete the "events" then? are these two thing separate now?

solution

I was having the same issue. The final thing I tried was to go to the VIEW menu and then change the sorting arrangement from Ascending to Descending and to Change it from MANUAL to by Date.
