Got up at 4am EST to order and it's been 'Prepared for Shipment' since Saturday. Seems like I could have ordered a few hours later and had just as much of a chance at having it delivered this week.
I work for FedEx and searched on my address - there is definitely NOT a tracking # generated for my shipment yet (other than the Smart Cover which is due to arrive Friday). So anyone who had hopes that Apple didn't update the scans and our iPads will suddenly show up, it doesn't seem very likely...
Hey man, I'm in the exact same boat as you: model, order time, and delivery status. This is pretty frustrating, eh?
My 16GB black Wifi-only was on the plane to Anchorage as many others' were. It flew from Anchorage straight to Dallas last night, then trucked overnight to Houston, and is on the truck for delivery this morning, two days early! My smart cover is also on the truck today. Good thing I put the delivery pre-auth on the door this morning just in case!
Wow, mine was on the exact same flights as yours all the way to AK. I'm in Austin and mine still shows, "In Transit" in AK. I'm hoping if yours went from AK to DFW, then mine did too and will update soon! I wonder why it skipped Memphis?
Well, we should see an tracking update around 10:00am PDT if all goes well and they arrive in Alaska on time.
Indianapolis would have been close to me too sniff wonder where my plane went and when I get an update ...........

Wow, mine is out for delivery in Atlanta! Was original scheduled for Thursday. I thought maybe it would come one day early, but I didn't think it would make it from Memphis at 1am EST last night to Atlanta for time for delivery today.
They must have flown it to ATL rather than driving it down given it made it from Memphis to ATL very quickly and it's a 6.5-7 hour drive. Made it in less than an hour as it left Memphis at 4:10am central and arrived in ATL at 6:05 am EST.

WOW thats awesome, I'm in SC and mine hasn't updated from Memphis, Maybe it will and it will say its already near Columbia!
I'm really starting to wonder whether they weren't supposed to be available until 1am PST so the earlier orders fell into some kind of crevasse...ordered mine at 12:44am PST, still not even prepared for shipment. Smart cover is enjoying the view somewhere over Lantau Island.
Mine's the same way.. Some one posted yesterday that the flights out from Sennan-Shi (Japan) got cancelled yesterday

Mine was Held for that yesterday and got released after both Memphis planes left. It has since been 'Released for Delivery.' Anyone know when planes will go from Anchorage to Memphis today?
Hong long did it take to get a release? Mine has been sitting there since 11:40am yst
I don't know. All I can say is I am pissed with people on here who are bitching and their orders have been prepared for shipment or shipped. I'd be content with prepared for shipment. I am going to FLIP A **** if this thing arrives with light bleed or dead pixels!
The status changed from Held to Released after about 4 hours. My iPad is still in Alaska according to both tracking sites, however.

At least this gives me time to scare up some cigars to pass around when the momentous event finally comes to pass!

My bank account has a pending withdraw from apple since Friday but no amount listed. Is this usual? My iPad still shows not yet shipped.
what ? how does transit not mean it is moving on some vehicle ? SHould I call and see if they give me a diffrent answer?

I have to say this is very entertaining to watch this thread. I have never seen so many people so caught up in a electronic device in my life. Apple should be honored at the interest.
I ordered a 64gb, AT&T on Friday morning at 12:45am Eastern Time that hasn't shipped and I'm not concerned about it. It will ship as soon as it is ready to ship. Heck, today is only the 3rd day of a 3 to 5 day shipping window and if it is going to be longer I would guess they will let me know.
Mine said it would arrive between the 17th and 25th and they are well within that window. I for one am not a stand in line person so I'm happy to just wait my turn with my online order.
