I know the digital hoarding feeling. :) The music is mostly classical, with some folk. The movies, if I see a movie I like, I usually buy a copy (yes, I do rewatch stuff). With the TV shows, I prefer to watch them on iTunes than to play around with stacks of DVDs. I have a Drobo with 8TB of storage for my iTunes.

Which drobo do you have and how do you find it works for streaming your iTunes library? I was thinking of getting the drobo FS

If I were to put ALL my music into my iTunes library, it'd easily beat out most people. I have around 500gb of music on my PC and probably close to 2TB of TV Shows and Movies.

What kind of TV shows do you have that are an average of 7 hours and 20 minutes each? My average is nearly 40 minutes per show based on 7,720 TV shows over 214 days with 3,237.38GB, I had expected the average TV to be more like 30 minutes.

Coming up on 1TB pretty soon

Just hit 700GB the other day. Most of it's movies, though, and the HD ones really take up quite a bit of space. Not including movies and tv shows, it's probably about 275GB of just music.

250GB which is about 30GB music and the rest movies and TV shows.

Cheers

477 MB of music. no movies or photos. :)

its weird to have a 160 gb ipod classic, and a 60gb hdd on my ibook. it seems like I have to load the ipod, delete, and then reload. I need an external hard drive :(

I have the version 2 with Firewire and USB, and it works fine. I've had it for about three years now with no problems. I started with 1TB disks, and am now up to 2TB disks.

Mine are grouped into season, and iTunes counts each season as a show. For example, I have all seven series of Star Trek: The Next Generation at about 25 episodes a season.

My library is sitting at a hefty 1.46GB of music only. I would have more but I am too lazy to rip CD's and plus my iPod only has 8GB of storage.

I have only music in my iTunes music library with the exception of some music videos. Probably about 20 - 40 videos. Total tracks currently is:

145,399 - 482 days - 1,094.44 GB

Loads of cool tunes! I'm constantly buying music. It helps if you're in the music biz too as I receive 100ds of new albums sent to me a week!

2 TB of Music

2 TB of music. I have a 4 TB leCie Big Disk HD run through the eSATA card on my MacBook Pro. iTunes is really slow with that much stuff on it. I just upgraded to the eSATA card which seeded up the I/O.
