April 1 Ship Estimates are being "Prepared for Shipment"

I'm in the same boat. Saw this thread...no luck...then went to bed..and this AM when I checked....WHOOOO HOOOOO Prepared for Shipment.

White 64GB ATT....

Nice! I orginally had a white 64GB Verizon...but in my house when I tried to activate I only got 1 bar and decided not to pull the trigger. I am hoping I get better coverage with the ATT....

Just curious...for the Boston area...what is better...I read the threads and was under the impression that Verizon was the way to go....

Also, I didn't remember to check what time....so I didn't know I could order early...I ordered mine about 9AM on the first day they were available...and orginally had the April 1 ship, April 6 delivery time frame.

Appears the answer is less than 12 hours.... mine has now been put in that box (with some tape) and shipped out.

April 1 Estimates are NOW SHIPPING!

Thought an updated thread with a more appropriate title would be good now that people are getting tracking information for their April 1 - April 8 estimate orders. I got mine this morning. Ordered it at 9am EST on the day of the launch. Good luck everyone, looks like apple is catching up on their production schedules.

My 32GB White WiFi is still showing as prepared for shipment. It changed over to that at about 5:00pm yesterday. Hopefully sometime today I get a shipping email from apple. That would completely make my day.

Good luck, man. I have a good feeling that yours will be in the fedex queue in the next 24 hours. Mine turned to "PFS" around 3/4pm EST yest and I got the shipment notification by email this morning at 7:30am. Since its night over in China right now, keep checking this aft, early evening. I bet its just waiting to be scanned by the fedex handlers.

Mine's still not shipped yet, but the online orders page has removed the ability to edit the engraving I ordered, so I think that's a good first sign! :)

Yeah I would say thats a pretty good sign that something is going on and you shoudl be prepared for shipment soon! :D

To be fair, your package got to HK late Friday night, so Fedex is probably not going to put in on a plane on Saturday unless its a priority package. It left HK Monday, albeit late day.

Hope you get it soon!

I ordered two, for my wife and myself, around 5:30pm on the 11th. The order status says Ship on April 1, Arrive on April 6. My wife would be so happy if they come early, since this will be her first iPad.
 
My order still has shown no movement. No charge on my credit card and I can still cancel the item if I want. Hoping things will change shortly...
 
I received my shipment notification overnight. Apple says delivery on 3/28 and FedEx says 3/29. Either way, I'm happy that it's getting here well before the original delivery date of 4/8! And this is for a white 32GB Wi-Fi that was ordered at 6:47 AM PST.

how can you tell if it got engraved?
 
Got my shipping notice this morning. Fedex tracking shows estimated delivery is March 28, Monday!!!!!!

Not bad for an estimated April 6 delivery.

Despite my growing disenchantment I'm getting very excited again.

Looks like Apple is clearing up production woes. Hope you guys get yours soon. And no I didn't get engraving.
 
32gb Wifi Black that is scheduled to ship April 1, deliver by April 6th still sits in the status of "Not yet Shipped".

Hoping it gets prepared and shipped soon. I placed my order on Mar 11, 2011 at 04:09 PM PDT

Ordered my 32gb white wifi on 3/11 at 4:39pm PDT, so we're probably on the same boat. I noticed the people that ordered on the morning of 3/11 are shipped, so ours should be soon.

Well, the "edit" option next to engraving option is gone, so at the very least, you know it is too late to change whatever you want engraved on the back. My "edit" link disappeared in the last couple of hours - not that I check on my order ever 2 or 3 hours. ;)

Thanks - I noticed yesterday my order had "the words I wanted engraved on it" in the status message - now it simply says engraved. But has not prepared for anything.

I have a first gen iPad with ATT and the service has been quite good throughout the Boston area. My impression is that ATT is suprrior to Verizon when it comes to data speed and that Verizon is betterin terms of overall coverage and voice quality.

I'm upgrading to a new iPad and sticking with ATT.

Good luck on your new iPad.
