Every once in a while i have a message in my inbox with:
(No Sender)
(No Subject)
This message has no content
Dated 12/31/69

It can't be read/deleted. The only way to get rid of it is reboot my iPhone but eventually it comes back. It's from my Gmail Exchange Sync.

Anyone know how to fix this so it doesn't keep happening?

I had a few of those, and then they just stopped coming and auto-deleted.

had that happen several times, although not recently. close email > kill email. when you open again should be good.

I can't say why you're getting the mail but the significance of the date 12/31/1969 is the Unix (Vax-Epoch) Timestamp and is explained here.

The beginning of the "Vax-Epoch" to which all computer clocks are set to is January 1, 1970. Midnight of December 31, 1969 is 0 time and it's all about the milliseconds from 1/1/1970 to the present.

It's 12/31/1969 because the OP lives in America, in Europe it would be 1/1/1970

I have had the same thing happen with my Gmail. Both from my computer and from my iPhone. Random email shows up, dated from the 60's, can't open it, then it's gone.

Weird. I've been getting them all the way back to 4.0 so it's an on going issue. Seems specific to my Gmail acct though for whatever reason. No big deal it clears itself up at some point.

I just wanted to bring this topic back alive. I am seeing this in iOS6 when I mark and delete multiple emails. After I scroll down and see a email dated for 12/31/1969 and other times 12/31/00:rolleyes:
