WWDC 2012 Already Scheduled for June 11th-15th?
![]() The 2011 edition of Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) just wrapped up a few days ago, but some attendees may already be looking forward to next year in hopes of penciling in dates so that they are ready to go when tickets go on sale and potentially sell out within hours. So those planning on attending WWDC 2012 may want to take renewed note of a multi-year calendar from the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau that was discovered last year, a document that listed June 10th through 15th as the tentative dates for WWDC 2012, with the actual conference presumably kicking off with a keynote on Monday, June 11th. Quote:
![]() Such generic listings "Corporate Event" and "Corporate Meeting" frequently appear as placeholders for WWDC well ahead of time, although they are of course not exclusive to Apple and are used whenever booking entities do not wish to publicly disclose their identities. Even if the "Corporate Meeting" listing does refer to WWDC, Apple is certainly capable of adjusting its schedule, although busy conference schedules can make it difficult to do so as things begin to book up. Consequently, it seems reasonable to speculate that Apple and the Moscone Center have at least penciled in the June 11th-15th dates for next year's WWDC, but we'll certainly be keeping our eyes on the schedules to see if anything changes, as they have on occasion in the past. What organizations other than Apple stay anonymous while booking Moscone Center for a week in the summer?

Crazy...
Only Apple wouldn't advertise the dates of it's next year conference at the end of its current one.
Must be nice to be in a situation you know attendees will come no matter what. Most other conferences start advertising the following year dates and location during the current one!

Wrong about 2015
In the year two thousand fifteen, the Apple World Wide Developer Conference will take place in a halo-shaped spacecraft hovering over Cupertino, California.

Nope i don't. But one of the main reasons macrumors is my favorite "apple" news site is because they don't post much useless articles. And this is almost useless so i guess it barely makes it to Front page, and since there is no 2rd page then certain rumors that are so insignificant or sources too questionable should not be posted at all. But as i mentioned in first post i suppose this is worthy.

The presentation mentioned a meeting place/theater, which would be perfect for keynotes. But I dunno if it can quite hold 5,000 people or however many typically show up at WWDC. Nor am I sure whether the local accommodations quite measure up to downtown San Francisco... |

Why don't they hold this thing in a larger center? Microsoft had over 10,000 people at Tech-Ed this year.

Should I wait for the iPhone 5, or the iPhone 6? Does anyone know if the iPhone 6 will be launched in WWDC '12?

Jobs did say in the presentation that they had run out of space at the Moscone Center and were going to host those type of events at the new Apple building. So I would assume they'd build a large enough auditorium.

Page 2 was replaced by the Mac Blog. There’s still a place for minor stories other than the front page.

Hopefully WWDC 2012 will be better than 2011 with major changes.
