You do know that XBench hasn't been updated in over five years. Its results are pretty inaccurate. A better solution is to use GeekBench.

I was most interested in an app that would allow us to get a somewhat accurate idea of how the samsung stacks up against the toshiba in 64gb 128gb and 256gb sizes. I even read in another thread that while the 128gb samsung is faster than the 128gb toshiba the opposit is true when comparing the speeds of the 256gb versions. I am hoping to clear this up somehow.
I wonder if aja system test is a better alternative?

as already posted in another thread:

I know little about hard disk benchmarks, but the Samsung looks like it is quite a bit faster than the Toshiba. What does this translate into in the real world? Will I notice it when copying files? Starting up programs?

More importantly, could things be improved with a firmware update in the Toshiba or something like that?

Well my toshiba was benching faster writes and very similar reads to the 128 samsung equivalent in another thread

Each reading varies by about ~10mbps lower as the tests run though, thats the fastest it will achieve, with nothing else running at all, I'm happy :D
