I can buy a whole new ThinkPad with 16GB RAM for little more than that price of RAM!
Yeah, ....... No thanks.
...Seriously, reading and comprehension on this board is severely lacking.
Why do you keep posting utter drivel in this thread? And probably a better brand than OWC too.
The Mini uses laptop memory (SO-DIMMs). OWC's price isn't that far off what it would cost you from Amazon or Newegg, and OWC is promising that it will work.
In $US.
16GB Ram Mac Mini at it's cheapest is
$599 (Mini) + $1400 (Ram) = $1999
16GB Ram for iMac also through OWC (to keep a similar comparison)
($41.99 each 4GB stick)
$1699 (low end 27 iMac) + $167.96 (Ram) = $1866.96
So why would a Mini with 16GB Ram at these prices be any good?
And probably a better brand than OWC too.
