My phone got wet and works but no sound

two weeks ago my iphone 3G got wet and after taking it apart, cleaning it and letting it dry, it works again. for a while it had the gray screen with lines but those are gone but now I have no external sound. I can hear calls and they can hear me but there is no ringer or phone sounds. any suggestions? I do not have any warranty.

After a second re-boot it works great! Phew! talk about a close call
