OS X: GTA: Vice City cheats?

I tried to find some cheats on google, but the only thing I could find were the windos cheats and trainers... Anyone playing vice city on mac with cheats? Could you please help me with finding one?

FWIW, I found that most of the GTA III Pc cheats worked on the Mac version.

On a tangential note, do you have any high or low pitched constant sounds coming through your left channel while playing Vice City?

That code has been ingrained in my mind since my youth. The amount of times I typed that in, I think it's become part of my DNA. Does it still work on the mac version?

Is it possible to use the save files from windows version on the mac? I mean, I have a 100% save game file on my PC, I tried to put it in the save files folder, but it didn't appear in the menu... does anyone have a solution? :0

Hey guys i just purchased vice city yesterday and im having problems with the helicopter mission given by Avery. Does anyone know or can you give me a walkthrough? i cant figure out the controls my copter gets blown up. Also how do i enter the cheats ?

Yes it's posibble.

Steps: This is for mac but it also explain to PC users
1) Open Finder, go to the Applications folder, right click on "GTA Vice City" and select "Show Package Contents".

2) Inside the package, navigate to Contents and then Resources.

3) Open user.reg and userdef.reg with your favorite editor (i.e. Text Edit). Replace all occurrences of "Tigran" (See step 4) with the username you use to log in to OS X. (Open terminal and type whoami if you're unsure.)

4) Using apple F (command F) on your keyboard will open a search tool to simplify the replacement.


Overall open user.reg and userdef.reg with any text editor. You see there is a name of the word ''Tigran'' what you do is simply rename ''Tigran'' to your computer name. For example I got mac and my name is cometsag which i had to replace to. Hope it helped.

And there is a lot of cheats, that has been posted above should have been helpful i guess. Google is your best friend.

I'm trying to enter the cheats using a bluetooth keyboard on my ipad but it fails.... I've tried typing the codes in lowercase and uppercase but nothing.

Any ideas?
