I need a solution in easily being able to switch between tabs.

Either a trackpad or keyboard shortcut.

In Snow Leopard I used Multi-Clutch to swipe between tabs, though Lion has now made that difficult. FireFox has always been cool in allowing command+left/right/any number... but Safari doesn't seem to do this.

Any solution.

Really.

, to move left
. to move right.
That is when your cursor is not in a text box on a webpage.

I use Ctrl Tab to move the next (right) tab,
and that works not only on Safari, but also on other browsers with tabs.

Whoops.. Didn't realize these shortcuts are from Glims. Sorry. Glims is a fantastic Safari extension though.

An Island in the Salish Sea
Shift-Command-[ or Shift-Command-]

didn't work for me.

Just to make sure i understand; just command and shift...right?

This doesn't read clearly....

Shift+Command+[
OR
Shift+Command+]

.... that is, the "square bracket" key is the 3rd key in the combo.... use the open or close bracket for left and right....

I can confirm it works on 10.6.8 and Safari 5.0.5

I prefer ctrl + page up/down. It's only two keys and you can use your right hand. I use this in windows too.

I have the full size keyboard though and I'm not sure if the small wireless version has page up/down keys.

That doesn't work for me. But I'm using Leopard, so maybe that's why.

Control-Tab and Control-Shift-Tab works fine.

Ah sorry, I'm using Chrome. Just tried and it doesn't work in Safari. Stupid Apple and it's non standard shortcuts...

If I'm not mistaken, Safari was around before Chrome. Now, that shortcut may have pre-dated Safari and then Chrome may have adopted it, but to determine that would take a bit of research. :apple:
