Hi,

About two or three weeks ago I updated my iPhone,
(it's one of the earliest versions). How can I "get it
back" ?? I downloaded the pwnage tool but it appa-
rently only jailbreaks the newer iphone models.

Any tips are very much appreciated.

Kind regards,

igmolinav : ) !!!

Hi,

My iphone has A1203 as its modell number.
I installed the latest one, perhaps the one
that was available between the end of Au-
gust and the end of September. I'm not
sure, perhaps the last time I had updated
was between eight months and a year ago.

Thank you, kind regards,

A1203 doesn't really help me much. Also, not helpful in terms of software installed. Also does not help me because I need to know what was exactly running before the update.

At the iPhone hacks section.
You need to provide more info for us to help you.
Help me help you.
What kind iPhone? 3GS, iPhone 4?
What firmware is it on now. Settings, general, about, version will tell you. Are you stuck at the connect to iTunes logo on the phone or can you get into the home screen? Are you stuck at the apple logo or no?
Was it unlocked and used on unofficial carrier?
How can I get back my iPhone doesn't tell us anything.

Hi,

The iPhone is one of the very first models, (model number A1203).
I am stuck at the connect to iTunes logo on the phone. I have
always only used the pwnage tool before. What iTunes tells me
is that "I don't have a 'valid' carrier SIM card".

Thank you, kind regards,

iPhone model #A1203 is the original iPhone. See here. If I'm not mistaken, iOS 3.1.3 is the latest software available for this phone. Is that what you updated to?

Hi,

I think that may have been the software I updated to, iOS 3.1.3
Yes it is the one with the metal back!

How do I rescue it ?? iTunes says I am using another carrier!

Thank you, kind regards,

Hi,

I downloaded the software suggested in the tutorial:
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=7430

However, iTunes tells me:
"There is no SIM card in the iPhone you are attempting
to activate. Please disconnect and insert a SIM card in
the iPhone"

On the iPhone it reads:
"Insert a valid SIM with no PIN lock to activate iPhone"

What do you suggest me to do??

Thank you, kind regards,

igmolinav : ) !!!

----------

P.S. My current iTunes version is 10.1.2

Hi,

An interesting thing to notice is the fact that iTunes has
a message most of the time, something like: "The SIM
card does not appear to be supported". However, one
previous time when iTunes allowed me to restore, I
used the latest version, I think, available for the
iPhone 2G: iPhone1,1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw
and the iPhone "swallowed it". Just recently I tried to do it
with the the ipsw firware of the tutorial of the iClarified
above tutorial and it tells me that there is an error, and
therefore it can not take it.

I wonder if the solution would be to try to restore this iPhone 2G
with every single ipsw firware that was available until this iPhone 2G
finds one that he likes and then takes it in order to comeback to life!
Perhaps there was a version he had before, and when he tried the latest
version given unknowingly via iTunes he "got sick". A solution perhaps
is to give to this iPhone 2G every firware available until he finds "the one"

Thank you again, kind regards : ) !!!
